It has a max pressure of 3000psi @ 3000 rpm with 29 gpm at that rate and a 7in pulley. But I am not sure what kind of HP I will need to do that ....
50.758 HP.

If you have remotes and your splitter is plugged into the remotes, all you have to do is to bungee the lever in the position for splitting. You could use a detent valve for that, but you have what you have.
If you had that much pump, why did you limit yourself to a 3.5 cyl. If I could drive that pump, I would have selected a 5 in cyl, 2 in shaft, and using 3000 psi, the push force would be 58.905 lbs, or 29.45 T

I would use your tractor hyd and then use the Prince fast extend log splitter valve. That valve will take your 4.5 GPM, and make it seem like about 28 GPM, and that is fast.
It will still have the ability for high pressure at 4.6 GPM.
Economics....3.5 cost $200 new...5in cost $450 used...building on a budget trying to build the best I can with the least amount of expense as to not prove my wife right when she said go to Lowes and just buy one.
Ok anyone interested in a new in the box clutch pump. will trade for a prince lsr valve and some boot lol
Give us a price with shipping and someone will grab it if the money looks good.
I still come up with 60 HP.
I am using the Surplus Hydraulics computation in the TECH help.
