BX2200 transaxle leak

Hi all.

Once again I turn to the brain trust here. I have a new to me 2001 BX2200 with 110 hours on it. It has a small leak at the left rear. The tire is wet on the inside and it looks like maybe it's leaking somewhere above the axle as the transaxle is oily above the axle also. I'll be taking parts off this week to track the leak down, but I was wondering if there was a known leak candidate in that general area? Thanks! Tim

Since you said left rear, make sure it is not diesel coming from the fuel level sending unit.

A diesel leak would be great but unfortunately it's hydro oil I'm afraid. Too viscous for diesel.

I would clean the area really well, and remember, the hydraulic pump is on that side, and many of the connections for the loader are right there. So, it could be little or nothing to fix. I know of no parts I would remove right off the top of my head. Perhaps the rear wheel.

I am subscribed, and I have a BX2200, so I will be watching.

Agreed clean it, make it leak, look for leak, rinse, repeat.

110 hours in 10 years? Wow.

Well, I took a look at my leak and it turned out to be a loose fitting on the hydraulic line to the woods backhoe. No biggie! Thanks for the tips guys.
