Your towing rigs and trailers

With the engineered beam and the super singles that lightens up that trailer nicely, giving more hauling capacity. I wish they were wider on the deck overs just for looks.

I agree. That's why I am looking at the FMAX208, it comes with the wide frame. My guess is, the 10-12k super single flatbeds come with the narrow frame, is, that way they can be fitted with duals or singles.

I think Hay Dude was asking about super singles on dump trailers, for some reason Diamond C de-rates the 10k axles with 215/75x17.5 tires. Yet the flatbed 10k's come with 235/75x17.5 as they should.

So one more time for posterity:
The Diamond C deck over dump with 10k axles and super singles is NOT able to be fitted with the 235/75x17.5 tires? That seems sooooo stupid.

Feels like I am at the point where I buy the trailer with under-specd tires, then upon receiving trailer, I upfit them with the 235s so I can load the trailer the way I want??? Is that the answer?

Dave’s Tractor, you seem to know the DC trailer well. Would you have time to help my local dealer build what I want?

Are there 27 bales, or hmmmmmmmmmm,, I only seem to be able to count 22 bales?

It was in the process of being unloaded in the picture. Note the straps are off the load.
Actually had 28 bales, but 6 were already unloaded. See scale ticket picture.
Here is 28 bale load.

I've never ordered a deck over dump with super singles, so I am not up to speed on the tire issue on that trailer. While I own our business (or perhaps it owns me...) I have a trailer manager that does all ordering and sorts out these sort of questions. I do not understand why they will not fit the 235/75x17.5 tires. Physically they should fit.

Have your local dealer get on the phone with Diamond C and ask for a clear answer. Diamond C will generally build about whatever you want, so long as everything fits. There are some limitations, for example when ordering heavier axles for the LPD trailer (between the fender type, not deck over) there can be an issue with the larger brake drums on certain axle combinations not being compatible with the frame width. In that case it just won't fit.

I can actually do 30 bales. The 8x8 deck on the neck platform has just enough space for it. Id be too overloaded at that point-probably close to 50,000GCWR.
I was trying to build a truck/trailer rig that would handle 26 or more 1000 pound round bales, fit in my house garage, carry 5 people, have 4WD capability and comfortable enough for long trips with modern conveniences.
