We do our hauling with 2500/3500 Ram diesels which stay hooked to trailers 100% of the time. But regarding the EcoBoost engines, I am surprised how well they perform. I bought a Raptor as a daily driver for the comfort and fun of it all, and I am pleasantly surprised at the torque this thing has. We don't do any serious towing with it, but I have pulled a couple of trailer-mounted generators with it through the mountains and it never lacks power with the light 4000-6000lb loads. I'd surely not want it as my only truck for the kind of towing we do, and I wonder how it will hold up when it gets some miles on it, but dang, it has the power.
