I think the reason the PS Audio product is so expensive is that is is active, not passive. It will correct low voltage, not just alarm on it.
so they call it a power regenerator. It generates 2kw of sine wave power, not just filtering another source and done not by battery power like an inverter. Yes I believe as one of my friends has said this is the audio equivalent of cork sniffers in the wine world...

Ferroresonant Transformer, and yes you have to admit that someone that will pay $100’s of dollars for a high end IEC power cable that plugs into hundreds of feet of romex in their house before connecting to the power grid might be an “audiofool”.
Saying that they hear a difference confirms it.

in this case they are eliminating the entire power feed and recreating it I believe.
so wires into house irrelevant if they are starting over

Ferroresonant Transformer, like the old buzz box golf cart chargers and welders?

I have two of the CyberPower 1500 VA units, a new one on my wifes work computer and a several year old model on my router/modem wifi and switch setup.
I'd like to get a bit more battery for my old one but it does about 45 minutes after a power outage. Of course with this new mesh router system only the main unit is ups powered

Needed a new ups in a hurry before leaving on a trip 2 or so Summers back, so ended up ordering a 1000VA APC of Azon. Still good battery life, 90++ minutes for router etc.....

That ^ worked out well, but if the company I used to deal with years back is still around (there will be others today if not), I always wanted to move up to a lightly used large UPS (data centre stuff). They used to get cycled-out fairly often (high reliability sites) and made their way into secondary markets. What I like about those (aside from VA), is they are designed from the start for large expandable battery arrays.

Another one of those projects, On The List.....

No high-frequencies in one ear now, so I wouldn't even try to rate audio systems today..... but these conversations are reminding me of the Foster's commercial Back When.....

Honda eu3000i that belongs to my buddy that’s built my house and onto another one on this Amsoil. Doesn’t look bad for likely 150 plus hours. Amsoil Small Engine 10w30 out, ASE back in…all of .6 qts 😉
Changed the NGK plug at the same time.

They used to have a straight 30w oil, but I don't think that's available anymore (?). I liked that one, for air-cooled units.

(Perhaps just an SAE grade-shuffle ?).

No way in h&ll I’d ever run a straight 10w oil in any of my engines, especially not an air cooled engine.

I’m guessing you mean a straight 30w. That would make some sense

I shouldn't type b4 coffee

Yep, I was thinking straight 30 - used it in my push mower, with now old Briggs. That one doesn't use a lot of oil, but def less consumption with the Amzl straight 30.

Well giving my pto genset it's exercise run today. Nice sunny comfortable day and all of a sudden no power.
UPS's working for my wife's computer and theother one working on half of the new mesh router and Starlink.
Stayed good for about 40 minutes then the old unit ran out of power, I should replace those batteries I guess. So fired up the IH574 and backed up to the house. It was time for the freezers and water pump anyways. Just went down and looked NO National Grid trucks in sight, I can see the broken wire laying in a corn field just a ways from the road. Supposed restoration at 1:45, they had best get their butts in gear if that's going to happen. One good thing it's been so dry they shouldn't have any trouble getting into and through that corn field. Going to mess up a lot of corn :( for my neighbor.

Yeah, utility easements through farmland can definitely have an affect on the harvest. My FIL had a gas pipe under one of his corn fields. In 2012, the gas company decided to replace it in the middle of the growing season. He lost close to 10 acres of corn due to all the construction equipment. He tried to recover his loss but the gas company refused quoting fine print in the easement agreement. He was able to make a claim on his crop insurance but it only covered about 25% of the loss.
