Sounds about what I'd do (short of high ground-water season(s) here) subh.....

Even non-3rd World (or California) grids will sometimes swing noticeably. Your comment reminded me of (brand escapes me...) pics people have posted of seemingly reliable compact LCD displays you can plug into a 120 outlet, to continuously display voltage.

I have DMMs and a newish ups that will display at the press of a button, but That ^ compact display in a commonly used part of the house seems like a great idea...... Not looking for X decimal place accuracy, just knowing what Normal Voltage "looks" like is a good reflex.....

Average week the power switches off and back on a lot. Storms are
another story. I like to see the V on high demand heat/cooling days.

Too many things need my attention (Squirrel !!!), but probably the reason i haven't picked up one of the cheapy small ones, is some things are built a little too cheap.... not what I really want (from a Safety standpoint. Low accuracy is one thing, letting smoke out, another....). Or.. just forgot to .

Those two Furman's are built like tanks. The AC-215A is on Amazon for $149 right now. Not a bad price for what you are getting. On sale $120-130 is a good price. My PL-PLUS is old I got it on sale for $230.

Thanks for the price points.... dropped what I could find onto my Amazon.ca list.

215A here is $252 CAD. Only DMC I pulled up here was the

Furman PL-Pro DMC 20 @ $780 CAD.​

I see the 15A DMC in the info table ^, but not pulling a linked product.

The DMC 20 is a bit rich for my blood, but I can see where these fit, even in a mid-range or better home-theatre setup, then obviously recording studios etc.....

Good resilience/survive-ability in sketchy-power land.....

If I suddenly got slightly rich, and decided to build something $$$$ AV wise, these are good options to review, alongside mid-market+ UPS units.....

from amzn ca . Your prices are high. I would have a hard time paying $250-275 for the PL-Plus DMC . I would just buy the AC-215A's. I really like those. The M-8Dx is another option.

8dx here is $315.62 CAD. 9 outlets is nice, and the lights made me smile.... reminded me of having to "borrow" sheet-note lights from the stage-band guys, a few lifetimes ago.....

Those 215A have high-voltage shutdown, and perhaps (?) a more resilient surge suppression network than the 8dx, so I can see where you'd like 'em (esp. considering price point) with "bouncy" power.

Long ago, I could find actual metal-case no-name power bars, with no-suppression onboard.... a nice (/recommended sometimes) way to expand the ports on something like those 215A.

A storm rolled through last night. The lights flickered and I looked over and saw 126v then it dropped to 109v. I flipped the switches and disconnected everything. I was to tired to care that the power went off. Woke up at 05:07 and the power was on. Glad to get the rain.

This is a good example where a quality battery backup system with pass-thru capabilities can save your voltage critical appliances from low & high voltage fluctuations when you’re not there to take corrective action.
If input voltage exceeds set high/low parameters it will automatically correct the output or disconnect from utility and use the battery power to produce 120/240v for your appliances.
I’m not an electronics guy or electrician so I hope this makes sense!
