YM240D Lift Arm Help

I have owned a YM240D 2 cyl. diesel tractor since 1990.

In the past year or so I have noticed difficulty with the lift arm working properly. It has gotten to the point where it will hardly lift its own weight just a few inches.

I have changed the hydraulic fluid & cleand the filter but still no change.

I can hear the sound of hydraulic fluid when the lift arm is actuated.

If any member has has any suggestions as to what may be the problem & even more importantly how I might go about repairing the problem.

My YM2000 is very close to your 240, I had a problem with the push rod on the control valve assembly. Under the seat there is a spring that connects to the feed back lever, when the control lever is moved to raise or lower the TPH the feed back lever moves the push rod. My push rod was stuck, a spray of WD-40 and a couple of taps on the back side of the feed back lever with a small hammer. It started to work fine, couple days later the seal around the push rod showed signs of a leak.
Replaced the seal and still working great.

So far as I know you are the first long-term YM240 owner to participate here.

If you don't mind - could you list any significant repairs your tractor has needed since it was new?
