The manual for my 3 cylinder YM2310 says low idle is 900 RPM. BTW, RPM means Revolutions Per Minute. Adding the S after RPM is not necessary as Revolutions is already plural.I've had a little more time to tinker with the tractor. It holds high speed very well. I ran it about 20 minutes between 1500 and 2600 RPMs with most of that time at 1500.
It doesn't like to hold the low idle very well -- Say around 500 RPMs. If I'm not careful it will die. Does anyone know what the low idle should be for a Yanmar YM220? There's a lot of slop in the throttle linkage so it might just need adjusting. I'll have to look at the Parts manual to see if there are bushings or other wear items missing that need to be replaced.
Cheers,
Eric
