Well, Hoye did have the best price, but it was still way more than I was prepared to spend. Seeing I managed to blow one of my super rare front tires, looks like the whole project is going to be shelved for the moment....

Yanmar produced a tractor with a one-cylider engine in it many moons ago. I found a picture of one a while back and now I can't find it again to save my life. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif The engine was mounted with the crankshaft in a transverse position and power was transmitted to the rear wheels via a belt drive. The design of the hood and grille makes it look like it came right straight out of an old episode of "Astro Boy". /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Anyone know what model this is? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I'd love to get my hands on one just to play around with, that is if there even are any in the US...

I think I saw that picture in the Corporate History section of Yanmar-JP website.
