I all the time will leave a bucket up and the machine off to do something, then just yank on the spool to drop it when done.


There is some BIG part of this story we are not hearing. the simple lack of pump / pressure just means no more 'UP'. Down is free, up costs ya.

I have to agree,, If the pump is all that was wrong.. What kept the bucket from falling to the ground ??
Pump controls up, curl, dump but ,it should free fall if pump doesn't pump fluid

I will always lower the bucket sometimes when the tractor is off. That is when i borrow a freinds that has a loader!!

when i'm not using it I lower all mine too.. but if I'm actually using it to lift something.. I leave it up.

Like lifting a bale and then backing something under it, etc.

I see posts from R.S. and Leonard in that list. I wish both would share more of their knowledge here.

I still receive that list as email. But I haven't posted to it for years, after some spammer stole my my real name and email from there or another Yahoo group and used it for the 'Reply-To' in his spam. I received near 10,000 bounce messages from ISP's saying Addressee Unknown (every addressee was different!) and a few outraged replies from real people who emphatically and colorfully denied they wanted a remedy for ED. The one I remember was some lady saying she received the spam on her official State Bureau of Tourism email in Georgia or someplace where it seems young ladies don't talk about such things, but nevertheless she seemed to know a wide variety of related terms to express her opinion.
