yes that what he is saying the squealing is cause there is strain. the strain is due to the fluid not being able to go through the valve corectly for some reason so its running against the releife.

I pulled the valve shuttle out of the valve control block, started the tractor and let some fluid gush out to verify that there was fluid reaching that point and to flush any debris.

Then I put the shuttle back in and still no luck.

Then I took the filter off which is down stream of the control valve block and started the tractor and confirmed fluid was gushing out.

Then carefully I loosened the hose connection the goes from the hydraulic pump to the IN port of the valves. I was expecting 2500 psi there but when the spray started it seemed rather weak, more like garden hose pressure.

I'm thinking the Hydraulic pump is not developing the high pressure I was expecting.

I think my next move is to take the Hydraulic pump off and open it up to see whats the matter.

Considering how sudden the hydraulic just went out, I'm hoping its something simple like the key sheared off and perhaps the squealing when moving the levers is the shaft slipping.

I got to the engine coupling which is a dual row bicycle chain style coupling and wonder how to remove it or otherwise detach the pump.

Any ideas on how it might be attached and the best way to remove it?

If your loader is stuck in the air ,and won't fall down,, it's not the pump... There is still pressure on the loader cylinders.. Take the return to tank hose off ,and see if the loader will fall..take off the hose that feed the loader cilinders ,and see if the loader falls.... B safe.. If hit by falling loader, U could B hurt or killed

i've said that.. apparently the op doesn't want to...

I can't remember if he said if his 3 pt is working or not.. The way I see it... If the 3 pt is raising and lowering.. He has no pump problems

While I had the control shuttle out I should have tried to lower the bucket as it is supported so as not to fall. Perhaps the pressure can be released. I forgot to try it.

Now that I know how easy it is to remove the valve shuttle I can try this evening and see what happens. I'll stand clear and be wearing goggles in case there's some squirting.

in the end, with the machine off, he could simply remove the return hose from the valve and move the spool that goes to the boom to the dump position and the bucket should come down and oil should exhaust.

if it don't.. it's either in the valve.. or it's a mechanical problem in the bucket linkage.. or something balled up inthe cyl binding it.

IE. t's mechanical or it's fluid. and it's in or before the valve.

This could have been diagnosed in 15 minutes with a wrench sized for the hose fittings and a bucket. ( OR LESS TIME if you didn't mind an oil leak! )

the fact that it has taken 37 posts to NOT YET KNOW why the bucket won't lower is a shame...

Well, look at it this way... There are those of us that can, and there are those of that can't.. We're to try to help those that can't

Two thoughts...like the other guys if the bucket is not coming down that has nothing to do with the pump. something is holding pressure in there. The fast that you had fluid puming out is good but irrelevent to the loader not coming down really. And the 2500psi is cause its contained, just pumping out of a hose it only pumps like 5gpm right? not like it will shoot 200 feet or anything...but i am no expert just thinking out load here...a garden hose pumps something like 5 gallons a minute right?

And the other though...did i read that you have an auxillary pump for the loader..."conected with a double row bike chain" if this is the case the pump on the tractor could still work and he could have 3pt power but no power on the aux pump if it was sheared. My thoughs on the chain is you need a breaker to break the link in the chiain if there is no provision to slack it up.

Yes its an aux pump on the front of the engine power takeoff just for the FEL. Not plumbed into the stock system so the 3pt is uneffected and working fine.

My logic tells me that if I or anyone else would start their tractor and start to remove the Pressure line that goes into the IN of the Valve block while running, there would be a contained pressure of ~2500 psi and as you loosen the hose fitting a high pressure spray would be emitted. My test as such showed a weak stream probably more like a garden hose pressure leak.

Sorry this is all taking so long but I don't get time to work on the tractor much, but do appreciate all the advice as tractors/hydraulics are new to me.

Starting to take off hoses were my next idea as suggested.

I am somewhat perplexed about removing hoses and the twisting up they may get, or are the threads at both ends in opposite directions so you have to tighten/loosen both ends at the same time and hence
there is not a lot of twisting.

I think I better add some pictures to help clarify my issue
