Back in the mid 80's my neighbor had one of these that my father & I beat the tar out of and it never failed us. Last summer I was able to use the tractor again for some projects around my house. I had to put a clutch in it along with some minor things to get it back to snuff. I wanted to buy it but the owner just wanted way to much (5K) for the shape it was in. The hour meter has made a few trips around, it burns oil pretty bad & the hyd pressure & speed were slow as a turtle.

Ok so now to the reason of the post ...
I found it's sister local to me for a steal of a price but the only downfall is it does not have the bucket on it. How hard will it be to find one for it ? Does it have to be Yanmar or can I retro fit some other brand onto it ? The tractor is not worth it's weight in scrap without a bucket to me. I just don't want to buy it to later find out I cant get a bucket for it.

Thanks for any insite in advance.

I think you will find there are a few companies who build buckets for all brands. There are companies on ebay but not saying anything about their bucket for don't know. But there is D&E near Charleston SC, CP not sure where they are and others. Have these two brands and pleased with them for my Volvo.

I would be cautious in adapting a generic loader onto a tractor. I bought a Kubota 1550 a number of years ago which had a Canadian loader fitted to it by a backyard mechanic with questionable design capabilities. The loader overstressed the clutch housing to the extent that the housing became distorted. This distortion caused repeated failures of the clutch plate. I had to finally sell the tractor for parts!

I would stick with models specifically design for your tractor.

People have to use common sense to avoid overloading the capacity of the tractor. Are we talking about just a bucket or a whole front end loader?

Koyker makes a mounting kit that will work on the YM135. Email me if you need pricing.
