I have decided to look for a simple start circuit. The owners manual has no valid information so I am looking for a diagram of the barebones start circuit. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks.

That is a last resort but your right I may have to do it. I have also been thinking about disconecting all wires and then only reconect what is needed to operate the engine and since it is a desiel it may be another option either way it will be frustrating. Thanks.

Don't disconnect anything more than you've already done.

Even if your wiring diagram isn't accurate in terms of the color or numbering of the wires, it is accurate in terms of how it's wired. So if the diagram shows a wire going from the start switch to the clutch switch, you will have that wire. Look at the two wires on the clutch switch, get their numbers and colors, and then look at the wires you took off of the start switch and find the one that matches. You can do that with all the wires you took off, find the other end, and then look on the diagram and see what wire goes there.

For future reference: there is a white plastic multi-wire connector near the fusebox that disconnects the front wiring harness from the rear. It's there because in order to replace the clutch or work on the transmission you have to separate the front of the tractor from the rear. I'm pretty sure you could have gotten the fuel tank out just be disconnecting that one connector.

Did you get this sorted? Start circuit is actually pretty simple although the exact detail will depend on your exact key switch. My switch has four positions, Off, On, Heat and Start. Off is fully anti clockwise. Heat and Start are spring loaded back. Moving to the back of the switch there are four terminals, (1) is Live with 12V from the main fuse or ammeter. (2) supplies instruments and other stuff that only works when the switch is On. (3) is Heat and (4) is start. Start is a fairly heavy cable running down to the solenoid on the starter motor.

I definitely wouldn't open up your C drive to the internet if I were you.
