Deere's 3R's are in a class by themselves. They are bullet proof reliable and have the right feel and size BUT if you price them you will find they outprice 4 different classes of Kubota tractors. When I ran the numbers here in my market I found that the 3R was over $7500 more then the Kubota L3901. This is why Deere compares their 3R tractor to Kubota's Grand L 4060 because they don't want you to see how overpriced their tractor is to the closest comparable model in Kubota's lineup. However, the Grand L4060 is the wrong comparison due to it's size and weight difference. And I will further point out that the Grand L 4060 still beats the Deere 3R tractor on price all day long. It's just the green paint. Because under that green paint is a cheap machine. They are built just like the rest. Look at an old one then look at a new one. I'd take one of them old ones with the fuel tank in front of the radiator any day. You can't run fast enough to give me one with a plastic fuel tank behind the seat.
