Where have I been?!

I'm aware that this is the JD forum, I'm just curious whether anyone here has experience with looking at or driving the current Cub Cadets. I had no idea that they were bringing in the equivalent of a Deere 2720, with a different wrapper - the SX3100. I like the extra lighting on the lower corners of the hood. And, watching their video, it seems like it might have a suspension seat.

From what I can find on the internet, the EX3200 sure looks like a hydro JD 790/3005... with a 3-range transmission (but doesn't seem to have split brakes). I've always wondered whether Deere would ever engineer a hydro transmission for that tractor - seems like that's what Yanmar's offering.

Agree? Or am mistaken?

Yeah, you are right. Thge Cub / Yanmar are really nice tractors. Unfortunately, in my area the dealer network is a little sparse........ but if they keep at it they will be a force to be reckoned with in the compact tractor market.

Hmmm.. this bears paying some attention to! Is the SX3100 the largest tractor currently available?

Very interested to see if they break into the larger 3000-4000 range of machines, too.

My old JD 970 (or better yet - JD 1070) with Yanmar engine and manufacture was a great tractor! Fully synchro tranny, rock solid engine and steel body would be a real challange to the current JD 4005 offering.
