No tractor action pics, but I got a bunch of 30-100# rocks from various places on the land and moved them to my wife's new herb garden where she wanted stepping stones.
Also did a bunch of oak tree pruning, including this set of branches over where my wife's got a raspberry patch in a partial-sun area and I wanted to increase the sun a little bit and remove the chance of something dropping on the plants - the two branches outlined in red:
These branches are about 20' above the ground at the raspberry plants and aimed right at them.
I used a rock tied to some mason's twine as a throw bag and pulled my come-along's rope up and over
Gave it some good tension and then cut most of the branch off using my pole saw with three segments:
I was standing on ground up above the berries, but with the angle the saw was at it still needed the full 20' plus half my height to reach
While I cut, my wife gave the come-along a few cranks to give it more pull. Finally it dropped and pulled back into the crap chain link fence:
didn't damage the fence, which barely matters because it's a relic from before I put a better fence around further out. This chain link fence will get pulled out during the winter when the poles can be yanked out of the ground with ease; right now they're kinda cemented in (with some cement and lots of hard clay).
Tractor was involved after I chopped up this and many more other branches' greens, forking piles over to an area I store piles and let dry until burn season. Still haven't gotten a chipper...
