Okay, my hydraulic filter light came on my Mitsubishi 3201D.
The engine began to bog down even on the most even ground and when lifted, the brush hog would just sink to the ground. There doesn't seem to be a leak so what else should I be looking for? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I've ran the tractor about 20 hours but would that be enough to clog a filter? It doesn't seem to me that it should be but then again, I'm just learning about fixin' tractors. Any suggestions and help would be appreciated!!!

The trans screen is not cleaned by most importers or dealers. Check that. It is in line before the actual filter.

I agree with Reed. Check and clean the pickup screen. I also drain ALL the hydraulic fluid from tractors when I get them. You wouldn't believe the moisture and other gunk I get out of some of them. Around my area that moisture turns into a sludgy goo similar to the consistency of thick hand lotion when the weather gets cold. Hard to get that through the pickup screen too.
Check the pickup screen, if its covered in dirt and crud, I'd drain the fluid and replace it too. Cheap insurance to long hydraulic pump and valve life.

That happened to me on a mitsu 3201-D also /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
I changed the fluid & filter, and the light went out.
The filter is located in front floor by the foot throtle pedal behind the side panel.
filters are 12.00 at napa, do the fluid while youre at it too!
