I drove 14 hours one way in a rental car to pick up a "new-to-me" 2005 Ford E350 with a 10' cutaway box and the 6.0 diesel and drove it 14 hours back home. Averaged 18 mpg coming home. Now i get to build shelving and fill the truck with lead.

I got a Woods/Gill SR30 box blade a couple of weeks ago. Have not mastered it yet, but copied all the threads from the box blade 101 thread here for studying. Like anything, just gonna take some practice. Thanks to Fay it may be a while before I get to practice some more, but thats OK, we're a foot behind on rain for the year, and AWAY ahead of last year's total!

What every red blooded Texas needs.... a rodeo bucking bull practice setup.... waiting for the trash man about 3 blocks from Dad's house... 55 gal barrel all covered in sheepskin (maybe it's carpet), springs, handle for providing animated action, really stout pipe stand to mount all the above on. I got it for the pipe stand and conversation value.

Also, today hauled 9000 pounds or so of above ground post holes..... I was forced to take the 4 inches of concrete surrounding the 47 inch holes and this is what slowed me down a bit Some people looking at my post holes might see concrete culverts... but I see post holes for immovable corner fence posts. Got 5 corners today... more later this week.. Free except for the sweat and diesel fumes.

My dads 1992 ?? Camry 2.2 without any clutch left, was sold for about 2800 Euro to some African Arab guy, who sold it on to Africa to do taxi services....

I think the longer journey from the US to Africa, than from Holland to Africa, is what makes the difference in value.

Hey, I think I got an e-mail from that guy. He was offering to give me 25% of his four hundred quintillion US dollars that he was going to lose in two weeks time. All I had to do was send him my account number, ABA number, social security number, my mother's maiden name, and my kindergarten teacher's last name.

All in one place... new to me 97 F350 dually with some free above ground corner post holes. Just sit one of those suckers down where you want it and it won't rot, pull out of the ground, or lean. I was able to move about 20 of these in 2 days of hauling this week.

I seen an ad in the paper for a pole chain saw on sale at the Ace Hardware store for $59.99. Next day I went to buy one and there was onlt two that were Remington electric. The sales price was posted right there and there were no other models around so I took it to the cash register and when she rang it up it was $99.99. I said to her wait a minute the sales paper said $59.99. She looked it up and then called the manager for advice. The manager said that maybe the computerized cash register was wrong and to type in the sales flyer number. I paid her $63. 43 with the tax and then the manager came back from where they were in the store and said actually the one on sale was out of stock but that I could have it at that price.

A savings of $40.00 on a better model. Felt like I hit the lottery.
