We go through a roll over 3 or so years. It seriously cuts weeds n shoots.

Might be a bit too much for my little 25cc cutter.

I might step from the .095 to .105 though. Besides cleaning my trails, I keep the outer edges under the trees thinned out with the cutter every couple weeks. Did a ton of chainsaw thinning and missed chemically killing a few stumps so I get regrowth.

Gives a nice workout to the brush cutter. The Husky Titanium Force line is great for its size though.

A gallon of Prodiamine and 2.5 gallons for Trimec 999. Time for late season weed control and pre-emergent apps.

$5000 of seed and fertilizer and high tensile fence ... Initially the bill was $7800 when she told me I turn white and asked for a chair lol, she saw the disparity in my face and gave me bulk prices and took $1500 out then some stocks issued in the fences and I removed a few bags a fertilizer and got it down to 5k.... that should put my fields up to par.

I just picked up a brand new 6' Rotary Cutter from our local Tractor Supply Company (TSC). No tax and 10% off... got it out the door for about $1800 ish.

I know it's not a Bush Hog / Rhino / Land Pride / Frontier, but it should serve me well for my needs... until it doesn't.

For me, at this stage, saving $2000 was paramount to the decision. Should have it home this afternoon!

I looked it over, for the cash, it "seems" to be good to go. The Manager at the TSC answered my questions... I asked if they had any complaints about them. He said... "I don't have one, but I can tell you this. They FLY out of here as fast as they come in. We have never taken one back."... I noticed they had driveshafts, blades, and a few gear boxes on the shelves in stock.

So, it's a 45 hp gearbox, with shear pin... I have a 5155 Mahindra (55 hp with 47 hp PTO at 2300 rpm)... I won't spin it up to 2300 most times, so we shall see how it lasts.

I wanted the Kodiak made, Mahindra branded MD cutter, sold at my dealer... but they wanted $3700 for it. Granted, it's a MUCH better cutter but like I said... at this point, saving that $2000 was my wife's goal.

Now to see how it works out! Fingers crossed!

I've got one of those for my skidsteer couplings and while I don't use it all the time when I need it, it is worth it's weight in gold.

Went from a string of 3 f 350's CC, 7.3, 4X4, 8' over 8 years to a Tacoma for the last 12 years.
Tired of the ride and the 4 cylinder motor. This actually gets a little bit better mpg with power of a vehicle healthy V8.

No complaints for the Taco and all the gadgets on the Ford are a little intimidating to say the least, and it's a fairly basic model! It's mostly foolishness but Bluetooth deal is pretty cool.
I've always admired red vehicles but never had one.
Now that's checked off the list.😉

I did similar with big Dodges/Cummins, bought a Taco in 08 and kept it for 13 years. Dead nuts simple vehicle that I did some basic suspension upgrades to so it would carry more than a bag of dog food.

Now I'm back in a full size 21 Ram and probably won't look back towards a small truck.

The Ram with a 5.7 gets better mileage than my Taco with a 4.0 as well.

Didn't buy something but did get my polesaw fixed. $270 Kanuckistan money.
I debated for a few minutes whether to scrap it or not.
It's never worked much. Still has the original chain but is about 25 years old.
A new one is about $950 new with tax.
If I had steady work for it I would have gone for a new one.
The guy said it was in good condition otherwise.
