I don't think so!:eek: That Hypertherm 1250 does a fine job of scarfing.;)

Oh, I though it was called cold tar:eek:. I can't remember the exact numbers but that stuff is expensive! One of the jobs I was involved in the estimating of it. Seems like the coal tar epoxy price per foot was about half the price of the steel pipe per foot.:shocked:

I didn't think you'd ever hook up a gouger to any of your machines.;) I always thought they were saying cold tar too.:confused3:I don't know about the cost but the coal tar goes on really thick. I think when I rolled it on was just to cover up after welding the anode plate on the tank that somehow got forgotten. Some tanks used dual corrosion protection.

I'd rather stick something sharp in my eye!:laughing:

I've been around cathodic protection a little bit. There are 7 of these floating bridges in the world. 4 of them are right here, I've worked on 3 of them. The company I worked for is building the replacement for the forth one right now. All the anchor wires have cathodic protection hooked to them.
