The attachment shows a type of weed that is common to our property, they grow a tall spindly stalk that develops light blue flowers on the stalk. To the best of my knowledge the weed is named chicory and I am using a strong concertrate of glyphosate and water mixed together to spray them. Because of the tall stalk it is hard to spray the upper part of the weed without spraying the grass under it, ditto for spraying the base leaves of the weed without a lot of overspray on the grass. Does anyone know how effective it would be to cut the weed off just below ground level and then spray the root with the weed killer? Thanks for any advice.
