I received a quote from Virnig Manufacturing in MN for a toothbar,
Details:
72 inches
8 teeth
with welded teeth 410.00 bucks, 107 lbs
with forged teeth 475.00 bucks 115 lbs

Does this seem to be a fair price?

Seems a little high unless it includes shipping. 72" toothbar for HD bucket from Massey Ferguson was around $300 when I bought it a couple of months ago. Also, I did a search of the forum and came up with this link:

I just bought one from Carver for my 54 inch bucket and it was $300 shipping included. Not sure what the extra 18 inches would cost though.

I'd say that's very high. I just got an 83" forged toothbar for my 6415 and it was only $325 from Deere.

I paid $300 for 61" WOODS toothbar for my 4110...

I spent almost exactly the same for my 61" from KC Canary delivered to my door. It's made by FMC (I believe that's the name) out of Illinois and I'm VERY happy with it. The teeth are welded and the caps fit over them and are pinned onto the teeth. I can't ever imagine breaking, chipping or damaging a cap, but if I do a replacement with pin is something in the $5 range, I believe.

Nope...it seems like a high price. I paid $401 for an extra heavy duty FFC 72" toothbar for my JD heavy duty bucket. See pic attached. This is a quality attachment. I've plucked dead bushes out of the ground when chained to just one tooth of the toothbar /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif.....very well built.

I ordered a 54" WR Long from a dealer friend for $270 including shipping, so your quote seems high to me.

I got a 60" toothbar like the one your picture showed for $225 but I bought mine when I bought my tractor as part of a package. I guess I got a really good deal on the toothbar.

I ordered it from Jeff Brown at Brownies Tractors........I'll have to look up his number if you want it. He does not accept plastic as payment yet, but the 2 of you can work that out.
