I kinda agree with you on this tractorlet.
People buying a tractor should do their homework first
We cant be the yanmar police for everyone.
As PT. Barnum would say, theres a sucker born every minute.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I didn't think he's slamming Yanmars..........if you look at his signature post.........it IS a Yanmar. He was just wanting to hear from someone who has bought a Vietnamese "remanufactured" unit to see what kind of quality they feel they got in their purchase.

Hello, This is Leon.

If you're the STINKER & the JACKER(who bad mouth about other people), and you're going read this post. I recommend you should drink a full glass of ice water, if not, you might get a heat stroke and that's not good.

For those of you who bad mouth and JACK A$$ about Vietnamese reconditioned tractors. I think it is reallllly wrong, and you guys shouldn't kept discussing about it. You guys should have it as a fair competition. You guys just run your own business, and let others run theirs. In business, if a person who misrepresents things, soon or later he/she will be really dead, and I know that person isn't me. Oh one thing I should tell you guys, I'm a busy man, my time is very valuable, my time is money, not for sratching other's people A$$. I just don't have time for the STINKER and the JACKER. If the STINKER and the JACKER wanted me to prove somethings, I'll do it unless the STINKER and the JACKER show me his/her documents from UNCLE SAM. PEACE & WISHING YOU ALL HAVE THE BEST TRACTOR SEASON!

sorry if I misunderstood the thread...it is just frustrating that people have given yanmar a bad name...like I said...my little tractor is a gem...all it needs is a new seat! I am just tired of going into a "tractor" store and getting looked at like the devil! Again, I apologize for misunderstanding.

No problem, Gary, we all make mistakes, Right Leon?

Boy.. Leon is upset... he's the one (IMHO) that needs the glass of water.... Last I checked this is a free country... if we want to discuss a topic we can... if he does produce high quality tractors, then our discussion won't hurt his business. and vice versa.

Why is it that instead of putting information on the net regarding the quality of their rebuilds, Leon of ViNA tractor just calls people names. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Competition is about providing a good product/service at a reasonable price and standing behind the product. If the vietnamese can rebuild something with cheap labor and have a good quality product then people will flock to these units. If they do it with poor quality, then only the un-informed will buy and eventually these units will be required to be labelled where they were rebuilt.

If you do quality work, stand behind it, and don't call people names--it only proves the point of poor quality and attitude.

Leon, don't waste your time responding. Forget this place. It's
value is in the quality answers that can be obtained here and not the demands for dialogue some people make.

cfoxmd:
You say, "Leon of ViNA tractor just calls people names." Who has been attacked on this thread? Stinker and Jacka$$? How about ALL who sell Vietnamese "stop over" tractors! (I am not involved in any way with Vietnamese tractors.)

Next to nothing has been said factually about Vina quality one way or the other. Most are unverified testimonials about some dealers somewhere with some real bad Vietnamese tractors.
Nothing more. Can you say what you want in the USA? Mostly.
But that can be abused easily.

And all we need is another government reg so the poor uninformed can be sure where reman was done. Sure, right!

You conclude with, "If you do quality work, stand behind it, and don't call people names--it only proves the point of poor quality and attitude." This is a real winner. Does this mean that if you have a good product, you should undergo a TBN
inquisition (Webster 3b) and not defend against their name calling? And finally the nexus of refusing to submit and defending as proving poor quality and attitude is a leap into outer space. Enough.

We've seen one report of 3 tractors DOA at the dealer, one positive report of only minor problems, and another individual who states he visited a dealer with 40-60 tractors in the back with significant mechanical problems. For some reason, tractorlet seems to think that people questioning the origin and quality of what work might be coming out of Vietnam is terrible. All people want to know is whether things are good, bad or indifferent with these tractors--Leon seems to want to call names, and tractorlet seems to think questions directed to Leon shouldn't be answered (calling it an inquisition somehow). He is right, Leon doesn't have to answer questions, but failure to speak up can lead others to conclude that he can't or doesn't want to stand behind his product or try to expand his sales. On the other hand, maybe its just a language problem.

In any event, I do agree that this thread isn't developing much in the way of real information, so I will not join in name calling.

Seems like this thread has brought out some issues between several dealers that have existed for quite some time. Others don't want to read this, only information good, bad, or indifferent about these tractors.

It all boils down to statistics.

1, we have had reports of problems from tractors rebuilt in vietnam.

2 leon is a rebuilder/dealer of vietnamese tractors.

Both can exist mutually, and do not have to overlap. Just because tractors from x vietnamese dealer is bad, does not mean all are.. just makes you look harder to determine who/where you buy from.

As was stated, by myself, leon, and others, if you have a quality product, and customer service, you will thrive as a business.. if you rip off people you want.

Rebuttals are fine if facts can be disputed.. but all can be done professionally.

I personally was told that my yanmar 1700 was rebuilt in vietnam ( private seller.. not dealer ).

It had the usual problems I would expect on a 20+ year old tractor., and one the seller did not disclose.. but I beleieve he knew of ( bad alternator / regulator ).. but as far as running.. it was a decent tractor.
