I have yet to buy a compact tractor or UTV, but I have been looking around for a compact, tandem-axle, dump trailer as well. There are quite a few in Canada, all of which look to be made pretty well, but shipping into the US is very high, between $250 and $450! I called about information on the Country Manufacturing 7500 1-ton. They sent me a brochure, then I called for a quote on the 7500 Dump Trailer, 3010 hand-operated hydraulic dump, and the 2" ball hitch conversion kit. Shipping to my place is $124, which only made the full price $811 in the end, which I was very happy with.

King Kutter
King Kutter Incorporated
I personally don't like the big ATV balloon tires, but that is just me. I have sent in for information for many of these companies, so if you have any questions, please ask. The trailers that are at the top of the list for me are the Country, Bailey's, and King Kutter. You can call Bailey's for a free catalog, 1003T brochure, and video. I really like how the trailer is easily interchangeable, but no hydraulic dump. Although, the tongue is connected to the trailer, so you could chock the wheels, the reverse your prime mover to dump it. I have heard lots of good stuff about the King Kutter. Hand operated hydraulic dump, a great 47 degree dump angle, and a 3000lb. capacity. My local New Holland or John Deere dealer could get me something from John BM as well through Cummins and Bricker for a pretty good price. I have really had fun researching this stuff, so please let me know if you have any questions. BTW, I work at a Steiner, Ventrac, Grasshopper, Gravely, Ariens, Echo, Redmax, etc. sales and service place. My original thought was to get a tandem axle dump trailer to pull behind a Steiner or Ventrac, but I have heard that since they are articulated, any downhill grade would push the rear half of the tractor. And they are hydrostatic, so the transmission would go so after a couple of years on the hills in woods at the place I want to buy. Ok, enough for now.
