Used Valby Parts

Good Morning,
I am the Operations Manager for a small non-profit in Southern Vermont, we maintain 412 acres as well as several historic buildings. We recently purchased a used 1999 Farmi CH150 Chipper. My guys used it once with no problems, however the next day they went to use it again and cracked the front bearing housing (ripped the bolt out with threads). I have called several places looking for Used bearing houses. The top of the case is cracked on the one side where the bolt didn't pull through. Does anyone have any leads on used parts? Please help, thank you.

I have a Valby 150 that I bought a few months ago- great Machine. the people at Northeast have been very helpful with some service questions. Can't imagine how you would crack the bearing housing. did the machine vibrate when you used it?

Ouch! 1100 bucks has got my attention. I replaced the belts in mine and you have to take the bearing caps off to do it to lift that 215 pd. flywheel off. I tried to use reasonable care but you always wonder-the bearing set up looks in a word complicated.

I will be checking frequently for heat, tightness on those cap bolts!

Well, took the hit today. Limping a little bit, but it'll be a new machine by the end of this. I'll tell you I'm not looking forward to dealing with that massive fly wheel. Thanks for the recommendations. By the way, found out today that the housings, bearings, etc... are interchangeable from CH 140 to CH 150.
