I thought that Yanmar in the original post look familiar... From Craigslist. Why sell it?

The YM186D on the left dyno-tested higher than its spec horsepower. At age 30+.
Every panel had dents. I wondered if there had been an angry girlfriend sometime in the past.
This is Yanmar's smallest model with PowerShift. Great for mowing and rototilling under the canopy of my orchard trees.

Then after several years search I found what I really wanted. Same but with the rare power steering option, and factory loader. Sold the first one. (and moved its better wheels/tires to this one).
I bought a new plastic upper grille for this one but I haven't installed it. Some day I'll take the hood to an auto body shop to get it shaped right.

The 147d may be the smallest with Power Shift.

Edit....actually I believe the 146 (which was the size of a garden tractor) had it too.

Never seen a YM260. Or knew they done that on a YM series. With those pics. posted makes me wonder how they set that motor up!! How cool!!! I'll be looking harder now about that model. No water pump I've heard of.

From the loose translations from the https://oba-shima.mito-city.com site, about 2,000 YM260 machines were ever made. The same goes for the YM173 and YM273. On the YTOG, a person in Canada has a rare YM273. These are the earliest models and are about 50 years old now. Still running. The YM173 turned into the YM1300.

Oh more info on the YM260, the search on the site only works when the Japanese page is displayed. So it's a little cumbersome to toggle back and forth.
