TYM 293 WITH 4 HOURS ?

Do not try to bend the bracket under the hood while still bolted to the hood. ( you will break the hood) Every K2 series we have had in the shop I have had to remove the latch from the hood, and adjust the bend in the bracket. Just a tiny little bit. No problems on any of ours since then, and it is on our check list for pre delivery. Is it a pain? Yes, but its a simple fix.

Check the frame bolts. When mine were loose the hood would pop open when using the loader. Then the frame broke and the hood would not stay shut( see my post about broken frame).

I just welded a washer to the hood latch receiver thing and that worked for me.

Check to see if the large hose (about a 2" diameter) that passes thru the top of the radiator housing is rubbing on the underside of the cowl / hood. If it is it can be cut back to just an inch or two beyond the radiator housing. That was the old fix to the early 273 series like mine and it stopped it from popping up.
Good luck with it.
