Tufline Backblade Question

The bracket did not come with bolts to install it. My dealer gave me the correct length bolts to install the bracket.

I did not torque the bolts down with a torque wrench. Just made sure they were tight. /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif

The LA402 Loader Operators Manual has a listing of General torque specification for various screw sizes.

Ron,Thanks. When I ordered the bracket I also ordered the bolts by the part #s listed on the manual page.

Here's one for you. I ordered, and received, skid plates for my Tufline backblade. When I picked them up this week, my dealer said he was told by the distributor that there is a difference between the two, one was for right side and one was for left side. Neither my dealer nor I could see any difference. He told me to try them on and I should be able to tell the difference then. When I put them on, I tried them both on the right and left side. They went on either side and I could not tell any difference. Those of you who put skid plates on your BB, is there a difference?

Yes... putting them on the wrong side may confuse the owner of the tractor... but not the blade... those blades are pretty smart... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

They probably meant one was for the left, one for the right, i.e. don't put them both on the same side. Product liability being what it is, manufacturers can never be too safe, like at drive-thrus with signs warning you that hot beverages may be hot. Or maybe they messed up and sent you two left or two right ones?
