You can get them much cheaper than that price on the Hulkman page. There is a bundle package on Amazon for $70 nowthat's even more then a NOCO its only a 5a vs to 10a on the noco. And i Thought the noco was a touch pricey.

Not into watching You Tube, and I don't have a NOCO maintainer so I can't comment on how those work.well according to this guy, it doesn't work period, even on the noco. which I can kind of relate to.
Yea... its the voltage being too high, not amperage. you can put a 500 amp charger behind a battery once it levels out the voltage, it won't take 1 amp of current.Cooking any flooded cell battery tells me the maintainer's current is way to high. You always want an amp or less of maintainer current. Yuhasa also produces an excellent maintainer.
IDK I have never seen it recover a battery for me. I don't know why you don't watch utube but the same guy says the ctek only does the deslulf mode on battery's at 2v, I'm not sure it does it every cycle. Not into watching You Tube, and I don't have a NOCO maintainer so I can't comment on how those work.
They might be similar to the CTEK I have. According to the specs it does have a desulfation function, but I have yet to see any evidence of that. Although, in all fairness, that one has never been used for weeks on end and maybe hasn't had a chance to prove itself.
Anyway, I don't think there should be any doubt the desulfation works. But much like sufation doesn't happen quickly, getting rid of it also takes time. Could be months, could be a year or more, depending on the "aggressiveness" of the desulfator.
To me, desulfation is more about keeping a battery in good shape than to revive a bad one. I've successfully brought several back to life, but can't say if it was the carefully applied forms of charging, the desulfation that followed, or a combination of both.IDK I have never seen it recover a battery for me. I don't know why you don't watch utube...
You don’t watch you-tube, but you watch motor oil geek? On what website?
The answer was right there out in the open for you to see.One exception I must admit to is that since finding out about The Motor Oil Geek I have watched several of his videos.
Ahh .. see it now. You-Tube is mostly misinformation, except, “the motor oil geek “ .The answer was right there out in the open for you to see.
Ahh .. see it now. You-Tube is mostly misinformation, except, “the motor oil geek “ .
And once again, the answer was already posted. Why don't I watch You Tube? Primarily because of all the misinformation found there, and also because it's time consuming. There are quicker ways to find facts.
This is what stuck out to me. Sorry you’re feeling all defensive. Why don't I watch You Tube? Primarily because of all the misinformation found there, and also because it's time consuming.
I have not been on any video web site other than You Tube that I know of, and have no doubt that there's entertaining and helpful videos on You Tube, but it's just not for me. And there's been countless times when somebody says "but this guy on You Tube says..." and it's complete nonsense. Guess I have become allergic to the You Tube phenomena. This is what stuck out to me. Sorry you’re feeling all defensive.
I use You-Tube all the time. It’s a great source of free music, and videos. Millions and millions of videos that are helpful and/or just plain entertaining.
If you feel “the motor oil geek ” is the only thing on there worth watching, that’s your choice. I’m not here to criticize it.
Your wording though, certainly suggests it’s mostly “all the” misinformation..as I questioned…
So what’s your helpful video website, if it’s not You-Tube?
this is like the guy about reddit being a cesspool. Anything can be a cesspool. You decide if your going to wade into that particular water. So the internet (what you are calling Google) is larger than just YouTube... yet you are able to sort between all the good and bad information there??? Yet you ignore the smaller subset of YouTube? Pretty sure I've seen you post your opinion on this before.
Like everything, there is good/bad/entertainment/etc to be found in every medium available (not just internet sources).
Well, Google is a small part of the internet and I don't consider the two interchangeable. There are other ways to find information, including on the internet, but I happened to mention the well known Google. So the internet (what you are calling Google) is larger than just YouTube... yet you are able to sort between all the good and bad information there??? Raising the voltages in the circuits in a battery powered device is easy electrically. Some processes just work better at higher voltages. So the input voltage is not the limit.SNIP
Also, straight desulfation units such as Canadus and PulseTech can't possibly raise the voltage in a battery since they are powered by it.
