Tread direction question

OK. This sounds silly. But I have never put ag tires on, and I'm not sure I put my R4's on right either. I am putting on my new R1's tomorrow, and want to make sure I put them on the right direction. Does the tread go like an arrow into the earth/snow, pushing loose stuff out, or does it go in like a v, pushing loose stuff toward the center? I think I know the answer, but I don't really want to do the job twice.

Using your terminology, you want them like an arrow, with the point of the "V" hitting the ground first. The self cleaning works better this way. The sidewalls will most likely have a directional arrow as well. When run backwards (packing mud at the center of the tread), the tread won't clear. I've never noticed a difference in traction either way, just differences in the cleaning ability.

I forgot to put the caution tape in this trench ;but I'm not digging it back out to install it.

Tilling the dirt with the used BX1500 to make it finer for back filling the trench for the electric line.

That is a unique trencher or is that just your backfiller you are using. I never thought of a tiller as a trencher, but if it works? I wouldnt think a tiller would dig a ditch deep enough to bury electrical cable. Finished product looks great though.

Take another look-see the ditch has already been dug with my BX23 BH.
The tiller is just tilling the dirt I took out from diging the ditch before I pushed it back into the trench with this.

Actually therte is quite a difference in traction if you are in sand or soft soil. The wrong way will dig holes a lot quicker, the right way will press against the side of the hole, especially with R1s
