transporting oxy/acet tanks

occasionally transport my tanks in horiz position (regs off & tanks capped of course). have always allowed 24 hrs for acetone in the acetylene tank to settle in vertical position before using. otherwise i understand it could damage reg diaphragm if not allowed to settle.
just what a supplier said.... is this what is recommended?

Yup. It'll do more than damage the regulator, O rings in the torch, as well as you'll start drawing off acetone into the flame. Same thing if you drain an acetylene tank bone dry or start drawing off acetylene too fast, you'll smell it and see the wet on the plate as you preheat.................Mike
