My brother in law broke 3 cross members so since it was getting taken apart I decided to give it a new coat of paint. I am using the majic tractor and implement paint from tractor supply. I started by knocking off the scale rust with a wireless brush on my grinder, applied rust preventative primer and matte black top coat

Did you replace the 3 broke / bent cross members. Looking at pic 3 it looks like you primed before replacing them. BIL must have put quite a bit of weight on to bend them.

looking at the way that trailer is built it looks like the 20 footer I had it was and still is a great trailer, I wonder has any body ever used composite wood to replace the floor with.

Composite is a really good idea:) if it fits correctly, now I am going to do some simple math

Composite wood would never work. The span's are too long between supports. When using it on a deck, joists must be 12 inch on center instead of 16 inch on center. It Bowes if you don't.

good point I did not know that.

I am jealous of the OP. I need to take the deck boards off of my 20 year old Diamond C Clipper 16ft utility trailer, clean it up, prime & paint, and rewire it. It's only time and some money, and a nice shop to do it in, which I don't have.
