Tractor and trailer weight.

Just came back from the landfill where I weigh my tractor and trailer. Trailer and tractor together 8,560lbs. Tractor 6,350 trailer ship weight 2,300lbs. Out of a 10,000lb. trailer that leaves 1,440lbs. On the plus side. Now as far as chaining the tractor down I put it back some next to the dovetail and it didn't squat my truck like the last time! It handled pretty good I just hope there enough to une weight.

Yes, better "hope" there's enough tongue weight.

Is "hoping" like guessing or more like praying? I guess if you do the first one you'll be doing the other when you try to stop quick or get into a good hill.

On the way to the landfill the we're a few hills and I made both anyway I will cut it and put a few more feet on. I wish I could post pics. But tap talk won't let me piece of it!

I know when I load mine, which is a lot lighter than your tractor, I just watch for the rear of the truck start to dip down.

When I was going to get it weigh I had to drive on a dirt road for a few miles and it was like driving on egg shells!!!! Glad when it turned into paved. I still rather have a 18 or 20 foot .

Looks plenty good to me, but if it doesn't suit you back it on the trailer, you can bet you will have some extra tongue weight then.
