If you need the money ,don't matter if it's chevy or yugo.If the jd dealers don't want the money some independent shop will take it. Doesn't matter to me who repairs mine if I can't .

While you won't get any Yanmar service at a JD dealership ( for the most part they deny any knowledge of the name ), I don't think service and repair is a major issue. ...

Funny thing here in town. The Case/IH dealer is just down the road from the JD shop and they had a large lighted sign saying YANMAR PARTS.

There is also a Case/IH dealer in Easley, SC that sells Yanmar parts and installs Bush Hog loaders on Yanmars.

I recently bought a YM1510D with a FEL for the same things you want to use yours for. I like the smaller size, and it has only a 38" wide loader, because I can actually drive it into my stall doors. So now when I muck stalls, I just put it all in the loader to take to the compost bin, and no more heavy lifting! I also drive the shavings right in to dump them. I also find it helpful for stacking bales.

My local JD dealership says they will service it. We'll see how that goes when I actually need something done that my neighbors and I can't figure out. There does seem to be several people on the net who sell parts for them though. The dealer I bought it from said he can get me good prices on any parts, but he is located 2 hours away so taking it to him for repair would be a pain.
