Looks like a Victor Journeyman model. That is a very good cutting torch, I have the same model.

Victor is the local company known for quality and serviceability... I just had an old Victor medical regulator repaired... don't know much about the company today one way or the other.

My guess is that you have a 315 valve body with both a cutting torch attachment and various size welding tips.

You should be all set for gas welding and "Burning" steel.

I bought the same model when I became a certified welder in another life... also the smaller set and jeweler set too.

Thanks for the quick responses.

So what parts are what? Is the double barrel attachment the cutting torch? Are the angled tips for welding?

Yes... the attachment is for cutting steel... I've used mine to cut up car bodys and when I was building a trailer to rough cut steel.

The angled welding tips should be stamped with the size... like 00 or 1 etc.

I use to do body work so I used the small tips...

Are you thinking or taking up welding?

Hard to tell for sure if it's a medium duty or heavy duty torch. The HD is larger in size but it should have a model number on it. It's an older model without the built in flashback arrestors like the newer models but still a very good torch.

Thanks again.

My son inherited these. He or may use them. I recently purchased an everlast stick machine and was thinking about getting a cutting torch.

Should I be concerned about the lack of flash back protector?

You can add them if you like...

None of the victor welding torches had them in school.

Flashback is nothing more than a check valve.

I have them on my bigger torches and not on my small set I used for sheet metal.... found the pressure needed to overcome the flashback check valve spring would not let me get very small even flame.
