Just to add a comment to past post regarding top links for 3ph. One of the problems that I have had with my 1510d is that cat 1 links are too long. Some one talked about using a "boomer" . I tried that this weekend. It works pretty well after you cut the hooks off. I need to bush the end that goes on the box blade but other than that it seems to do the job. The ratchet is a welcome addition also. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

What size link are you using? We have several that are perfect for the 1510. A 9" tube top link should be fine on that tractor.

I am using a Cat I top link which is too long. I have a Cat 0 link and it works ok on my back blade but is too short for my box blade. Is the link you are talking about something in between that I don't know about?

Thanks for the feedback.

Just measure the length of your Cat 1 top link tube (the center part of the top link). They normally come in 9" 11" 11.5" 12" and up. The 9" is what we put on all of the 1510s that we sold. They work great. They are not usually available that short at local tractor supply type stores though.

Typical cat 1 link at TSC or such is 16" (center tube length). Way too long. Buy the 9" cat 1 from Hoye and get on with your work.
