Nice job on the tooth bar. Did you use a stick welder? If so what rod did you use?

Vic

Thanks,
No, I didn't use a stick welder. I used my Millermatic 210 mig welder with .035 ER70s-6 wire and C25 gas.

Nice job! I've always had trouble finding these cutting edges. Where did you get yours?

RichT,
Thanks,

I've had it for a couple of years. It was a piece left over that was handed down from a friend. I'm not sure where he got it from, but you can get a piece from this company. Discount Steel - The widest selection of steel, aluminum and other metals at discount prices. Click on "steel" then "hot roll" and then "beveled cutting edge". You can order any length you need, and there is no minimum $$ order. I've ordered small pieces of steel and aluminum from them before and have never had a bad experience.

Nice Bar!
well I don't want to start a new tooth bar thread so I though that I could share the source of where I purchased my teeth and shanks.
This was this best price that I could find. I ordered 6 shanks and 8 teeth with shipping to maine it was $88.00 Now to find time to put it together

GIJOE,
I just when back and looked at the pictures again and noticed that you welded the tooth to the shank in the crimp hole. Why? will they fall off if I just crimp?
Thanks

The tooth is not welded to the shank. These are not crimp on teeth. What you are looking at is the end of the pin that is driven through the hole to hold the tooth on the shank.

Joe, based on the Fabco TB-1001-23 specs, these shanks look like they may fit my B26 bucket with the bolt on cutting edge. I'm hoping you can take a critical measurement "D" shown in the attachment.

RichT,

The measurement you ask for is 1-3/8". hope this helps.
