Tires tire question

Just to review my thoughts....

My CC will be used to put boats and other trailers on the front of the tractor.

I've used 2 ply tires, but not that sure how much loading they'll take. Would 4 ply be better, loadwise? Or does it really matter?

I'm a little lost but if you are doing loader work and having tire problems often a heavier tire will help prevent premature tire failure.

If you have been using 2 ply, and not problems, stick with them. The loading for the tires should be embossed in the sides of the tire.

If it ain't broke.... :D

My big question is whether or not ply rating is a load factor. It might control other tire factors. I was wondering if it is load rated or not.

That I don't know for sure. The loading is more to do with the sidewalls, on cars and truck I think they are letter coded. But it does make sense that a 6 ply tire would probably have a higher load rating than a 2 ply.

I do know the snowblower I mount on the front of my Cub weighs close to 300 pounds, I need to keep a little extra air in the tires when the blower is on.

That's probably close to the tongue weight you're looking at?
