The OEM R4s on my Kioti handle 40 psi, and a load cap of something like 2000 lbs each. But I also have 1500# of counter-weight.

My loader is only rated at about 1150#, but that's at full height. I can lift a full ton a few inches off the ground, and do so regularly. The JD 420 or 430 loaders have decent load caps, too.

i would say the capacity is nearly the same as yours. something like 1200 at full height, 1900 at 5' and 3000 breakout. i'm not sure the load ratings on some of the tires are even accurate. 1 saw one place listing a 6 ply at 8000 lbs. that seems suspect considering most of the other ones were more like 2200 lbs. i'm sure the loadmaxx ones will be fine, just wish they would show an actual weight figure.

i've found them listed as 'rating E'....which is confusing too, i think it may be more for passenger vehicle tires. but one chart says E is 1500lbs, one says 2500lbs and one says 3500lbs.

Yes, confusing.

What if you asked the seller to send a photo of the sidewall? That has the load capacity and pressure info. A 40-50psi tire of that size is going to have plenty of capacity.

i figure it will be more than capable. i thought about asking them if they knew the rating, but figured most of these places are just warehouses and don't know and can't get pics....but i'll try! thanks.

How does one cross from 7.00X12 to the more modern format? XXX XX-12
I would like to replace the front ag tires on my Hurlimann. All I find are fork truck tires and "implement" tires.

i can't answer that. i did a search to double check what the #s mean and got this for 25x8.50-14:

Tire Size Breakdown:

  • 25: This number indicates the overall diameter of the tire in inches when fully inflated.
  • 8.50: This number represents the tire's width in inches. It is measured from sidewall to sidewall.
  • 14: This number denotes the diameter of the wheel rim in inches that the tire is designed to fit.

so, maybe if you take all the measurements from your tire, you may be able to come up w/ a size?

as suspected, they don't have access to the tires, but here is what they said.....seems kind of a low rating, but should be more than enough. I did ask 2 places, so we'll see if the other one responds.

"This tire have E 10 Ply Rating and the actual meaning of the E rating is that a single tire can handle around 1,520 lbs at 80 PSI.
Pictures represents brand and model of the tire listed for sale. Sadly, since we can not see the tires physically, we can not provide you with more pictures."

Make darn sure you have the correct tire diameter so you don't chew up your $4,000 front axle if FWA.

I had a Deere tractor with R4's and wanted to purchase a heavier and more rugged tire on the rear. Crickets from the tire guy until he said why don't I consider telehandler (?) or extended (?) hoe tire?

We found the same size as I needed in a Firestone 12 ply tire and man is it a beast. It probably weighs double the Indian or Chinese one commonly used and is so strong I had to overinflate it for six months to make sure the bead sealed and didn't seep air out. But it's pricey.

Tires today are expensive if they are made right and like they used to be. If you can't or won't pay for quality you wind up with import stuff that may or may not work, depending.

A backup good solution that also is pricey but solves the problem are "Tweels" those are those plastic/rubber airless spoke-looking tires you occasionally see. They work and you will never get a flat.

I just ordered a pair of these for my 4310. The total is for a pair with free shipping with Walmart+.
They seem like a pretty good match for the Carlisle tires that were on it.
The old ones were a bear to dismount. Mounting the new ones was worse. After I did one I called Discount Tire. They mounted the second one for $10 including a new valve stem. I wish I let them do the whole job.

i looked at those, but they are 6 ply, i want 10, so the loadmaxx for $115 ish seemed like a good option. i too was looking at walmart as i also get free shipping. i think priority tire also had free shipping. i was just going to cut the old ones off, one is garbage any way, but i didn't know if i would be able to get them on. my dad thinks we can (he did his, but were a little bigger diameter which seems like might be easier). my local repair shop guy, who would probably charge about $10 each, doesn't know if his machine can do it - depends on how rigid they are. the local tire shops wants $25 each to do it.
