That's what people tend to forget.
Are we 'guests' or are we 'customers'??
The MSM started treating their customers like 'guests' and decided that they, themselves, were the only 'deciders' that mattered. Instead of giving readers what the wanted, they gave them what they thought they needed.
The Media in this Country is a standing joke around the world. It's a clown show. Nowhere else in the world have 'news'papers taken such a hard hit. People say it's because of the interweb and how sophisticated Americans have become.
Like Japanese, Germans, Koreans, etc, etc ad nauseam are stupid? No, it's because the papers themselves simply got up walked away from The People. Instead of trying to inform them, they ended up talking down to them.
I think this place is fairly well-run. But, as to what constitutes 'politics' and what doesn't....?? It is in the eye of the beholder.
Plus, they're trying to keep the professional Trolls out of here. There are places that hire them, by the hundreds. College kids, part time. They go around and scrub articles they don't like and troll message boards. They want to keep them out.
