The WICKED Root & Debris GRAPPLE!!!!!!!

That is my post a few back. I bought the 56" single lid. I know plenty of people say the 50" is strong enough and it probably is but the 56" is still super light at 350lbs. It is actually lighter than my pallet forks. I don't know what your application is so I won't comment on width. I will tell you that the grapple is light enough where I was able to fit as many oak logs in it as I could shut the jaw around and the loader didn't even care.

I agree that 350lbs is still a reasonable grapple weight so long as your loader can lift 1500lbs or more. Hate to see grapple weight cut net lift to less than a half ton because you can pretty easily get that much wood into a grapple. What is the opening width of the jaws? Is the 56" made with 5/16" high strength or 3/8" mild steel? How much more does it cost than the 50" compact?

I see a 54 inch single lid "wicked" with 3/8 A572 steel and the opening width is 7 inches wider than the compact 50 inch like I have. So 37 inches instead of 30. The weight is given at 349 lbs in their chart. Which is about 75 lbs more than mine. The single lid 54 inch is $1690 and the 50 inch compact is $1492.

I received this feedback over the weekend. He has our 50" Wicked Grapple on a Kubota L35 TLB.

"All good so far. Loving this size grapple over the big heavy one I used to have. Thanks!"

Thanks for doing the legwork James. Looks like either the 54 or 50 inch would make sense for a Kioti CK. I'd probably go with the 54 on a DK or NX. Having a wider opening is useful.

The good news is I got my 50 inch before the price increase. :cool2:

I have a 60" single lid. Works great on the L4330. Think I'm going to paint the outside tines safety yellow. It will be easier to see, and keep track of when manuvering in tight areas.

That isn't a bad idea...

Good idea.

Kubota Orange might be almost as visible as safety yellow but would complement your tractor. Either way, post some pics.

Good thought. I'm all about the orange, but this time I am thinking something completely different so it doesn't blend in. Final color TBD. Painted pics will follow.

Here are a couple recent, new and not quite new. IMG_4930.JPGIMG_5902.JPG
