Expecting 7-14 inches on top of the 1/4 inch of ice I have right now. And people are digging out their generators that haven't been started in 5 years because they are freaking out and need them worked on after the fact. And people are just now realizing that their snow throwers don't start either since they haven't been started in probably 10 years.

Yeah, I know. I'm actually in central Oklahoma; that was sent to me this morning by my Grandson.

I though it was milk and bread? We got about 9 inches of snow total. It’s still windy and drifting. I went for a bicycle ride yesterday and it was 51 when I finished. The temp fell off and this pic was about 6 hours later at 6 pm when the snow was just getting wound up.

15 miles south ice and snow accumulations here we received nothing and I certainly don't miss the ice.

I don't mind the snow. THAT I can handle. What I do not like is the inch or so of ice that we sometimes get.

About forty years ago the factory I worked at got a new manager from somewhere in Canada. The first time a few inches of snow was forecast and schools were to be closed the next day he ranted and raved about it. Said where he was from they measured the snow in feet and not inches and schools were never closed and nobody ever missed work. And he would fire anybody that missed work because of three inches of snow. Temps had been in the upper twenties for a couple days. It warmed up slightly above freezing and started raining that afternoon. Rain turned to sleet early that night, temp dropped into the low twenties and a couple inches of snow fell on top of an inch of ice. He never even made it out of his driveway. They had to send somebody in a four wheel drive pickup with chains to get him and bring him to work.

Youngest and her family are here. Son-in-law has to go to work tomorrow. It is only about three miles and he has a Four Runner so he should be okay.

Weather bug is showing snow starting tonight as it cools down. Then it's supposed to change of to sleet the colder it gets Should be interesting tomorrow

This will be an ice event for us for several days. Steady raining here, changing over to freezing rain and sleet after midnight. Temp is 34 and dropping, high for Thursday will be at midnight, forecast 27 at 3 PM, 19 for tomorrow's low. Not expected to get above freezing till Saturday.

I think I have got more snow since it started in again this morning than I got yesterday. Could still see the grass yesterday in the wind blow areas. now have about 3-4 inches and coming down.
