Texas newbie

Hi. I am new to TBN. I live in Texas and will be moving to 17 acres in January 2012. I currently own 2 tractors (an 8N and a Long Farmtrac 45). My husband and I are looking to purchase another tractor with a front end loader, he is looking at Kubota, New Holland and Case/IH in the 55hp-75hp range, 2 w/d. There seems to be a big price jump ($2,500-$3,500) when you go from the 40hp-50hp range to the 60hp-70hp, is it worth it? We will be using it mostly for mowing, tilling, disking and maintaining roads.
