Still having problem.....been gone for a few days.....hoping to hear some feedback from Muhammad at TBN.....no such luck.....even sent him a PM last Saturday......he is either ignoring the problem or doesn't care????? Weird!

Not to argue, but I highly doubt that he is ignoring the problem, and I'm sure he cares. I would guess that he is a pretty busy dude, and this may be down a bit on his list of things to do. Also seems like it could be a touchy subject if the adverts are causing the problem.

I do agree that he could pop in for a sec and give some sort of acknowledgement.

I am sure he is busy as well.....but......I did send him a PM referencing this thread......common courtesy would dictate a response since many are experiencing the problem. Not trying to be unreasonable but sure would be nice to know if he is aware and trying to help solve issue.

Can you guys test this new style and tell me if the problem persists? Please keep in mind that the new style will only work on certain forums. New style:

Ultimately, our solution is to transition to a new design which has cleaned up a lot of issues. However, we have had this project on the back burner for about a year due to back end technology updates that took priority.

Since it was only recently that these reports started coming in about the half page issue, I am thinking it has something to do with the ads that are being displayed through ad networks that we sell inventory to.

So far I like this new style, it's very clean looking. It always seemed that the problem occurred when ads were trying to load on the side of the page. Now they are loading without a problem.

Only issue I have had is that I am not being taken to the place where I left off in a thread. I am being taken back to page one.

Never had to before. It seems to go to the first unread post on its own in some cases, but not on every thread. For instance, I just looked at a thread on the Front Porch and it took me to the first unread post without a problem. When I came back to this thread it took me to page one again.

edit to add that I may have hit that icon on the other thread and not on this one, but I honestly never have had to use that icon before.

The previous skin was hacked to force you to go to the first unread message when you clicked on the thread title. The new one is setup like almost every other forum out there to take you to the first post by default, or to the first unread post if you click on the round icon.

Thanks Muhammad for finally getting back to us. I tried the new style......same problem exists. The jumping problem is very severe and annoying. Half page loading continues to be an issue. Hope you can resolve.

The Front Porch Forum is one of the ones not on the "New Style".

The "First Unread Message" icon is not on the "Old Style".

Rural Living is not using the new template (note the difference in color/look between http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/rural-living/ and http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/related-topics/ ) so the new template may still fix it.
