I take the disaster VERY seriously. Not sure our gummit does though. FEMA has been pretty much gutted since 2001...........

It's a sign that our current leadership lacks the compassion for its people. I also would not be too quick to judge the looters. The whole world has ended for them. It aint like they can go down to the quicky mart and buy a snack.... I know the looting has gone beyond just doing it to survive but I still would not be too quick on judging these folks. I think most the inventory in most of these flooded stores would be a total "right off" anyway... Just think of all the dollar a day jobs this looting will provide third world folks. Woo Hoo!!!! Gotta replace those wet shoes...... Wooo Hoooo!!!! a dollar today!!!!

There is taking something from an abandoned store to survive and then then there is looting. Looters should be caught and made to work lots of labor fixing the city up.

If you feel so bad and want to help, grab a broom and shovel and start pushing instead of whining about whiners.

I'm trying to do something to help... however when I make a general observation that people are MORE concerned about fuel prices than thousands of dead people, I get attacked. That comment was not called for as I did nothing to you to warrant it.
No wonder people keep leaving TBN... it's not like it used to be for sure! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Andy,
I thought it sounded like you both were on the same team. I can't imagine why he told you to "grab a broom" and "stop whining about the whiners".

Is there government giving any thought to giving people "public works" jobs like FDR did during the depression? Seems like there is a lot of work to be done and a lot of people out of work. Looking at something that worked in the past may be one step in the right direction
