Anyone that doesn't have a big grin on their face when they see that picture should check their pulse. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Great pictures. Makes you wonder what's going through their minds... wish I could reach those pedals, that steering wheel, that joystick; I'd show him how it's done! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

(I get that same look every time I get on my tractor. I refuse to not have fun /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif )

Derek, where did theT-8 Harley rake come from? Don't tell you got it and I didn't hear about it. Aren't they incredible in what they can do? Nice shots, how old is the young man on the big rig. Mine turns 2 on June 2. Rat...

Nikolaus just turned 18 months. I guess I'll get to see myself grow up /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif.

I haven't had much time really to talk about it. I knew what I wanted. After using it a bit and geting used to using it it does a awesome job. Levels like... well a level /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I'll be able to run the mower wide open and not bounce of the seat /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. I was really impressed how it can chew up sod, exsisting lawn.

Here is a picture the day I got it. couldn't use it much, 15 minutes. The PTO shaft was to short /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif.

Derek, that's a very nice series of photos and great looking boy. I hope you'll continue to keep us updated on using your Harley Rake. I'm not familiar with them, but yours sure looks like it does exactly what it is supposed to do. How does it perform on varying soil types?

Rowski,

I've got a son that will turn 3 in July..."little Ricky". Anyway, I never thought about it, but you're right, we get to see ourselves grow up. AND...they have some really neat toys for us (oops, them) to play with now that weren't around when we were kids....not to mention their dads have some cool tractors too! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Rowski, wow, exactly, your reading my mind! I have access to a Pro 8 Harley that I have used since about 1992. The tool is incredible. The new T series with the carbide teeth looks like just the ticket for smoothing out the grass areas that are bumpy. It's where I have to admit having my HST works pretty darn slick. The second my front wheels hit the bumps, I'm off on the HST pedal and things are smoothed out considerably. I do wish though that I could just cruise through unencumebered. How did you hear about the Harley? Where did you get it? Thanks for the pictures and the thoughts. Rat

My 2 year old (as of today), is a real joy to watch learn new things or mimick things I do. His name is Jack.

PS. Jim Inman, don't try one of these rakes, they are very addictive.

That is a classic pic /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Where did you get the cab for your NH2120? Is it a N/H item or aftermarket?Kerry in Oz.

I've never seen or heard discussed HOW a power rake does it's job??????? What is the mechanical process?
Does it bury completely existing sod?

Rowski, I think it's really great you have the rake, I hope we can expect to hear some sentiments you have about it. I know they are rather expensive, but after using my Pro 8 Harley, I still feel it was worth every dime. I have never tried the new carbide tipped rakes but would certainly love to. Please continue taking some pictures and posting comments about your T-8, I keep checking here to see if there are any new ones, Rat... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

One of the farmer's we slum around with has a "Rotara" rake. It's a horoziontal rake about 16 feet wide. It has a pto input on the front as well as an output on the back of the gearbox. it's set up like that so you can "gang" more than one together. We have used it for fitting up ground prior to planting vegetables. It will turn hard ground into powder about 10" deep. Takes a minimum of 100 pto horses to run it. It's sitting down at the barn so I think I'll take a picture or two of it today and post them.

I posted photo's of sort of a "Big Harley Rake" in the photo section. It does the same thing as yours, only on a much larger scale, with a much larger tractor too. The unit belongs to a friend of mine. We grow hay on some of his ground. One nice thing about living out here is if I need a piece of equipment, I can always borrow it, even if it is green.
