I used my new bucket teeth this weekend and my father-in-law's old roll-over box blade. When I came home, I had to mow my 3-1/2 acre lawn. I took some pics before I did the switch-over. BTW, that's a Kubota B2150 & LA350 FEL. I have no idea who made the blade.

After I got everything unloaded, I detached the FEL and blade, then I switched over to my brand spankin' new Titan turf tires & wheels and installed the mower. That mower is a 5' Buhler/Farm King rear discharge finish mower. My ag tires are filled (who knows what with though- I bought it used) and they're too aggresive for mowing usage.

John, about looks like you have two different tractors there. I would say you are ready for whatever comes up.

John,

That is a great setup you have there!!! I have turfs on my B2410 and haven't had issues with them traction wise yet, but it sure would be nice to have another full set of tires for the winter anway!!!

With that box blade and the toothbar on the FEL....I'd say you are ready to do some serious work too!!! Very nice!!

John,
Thats a real slick looking set up you have there. How long does it take you to do a full tire change ?

jd,our first Kubota was a B-2150,very steller compact.I also had ag and turfs,fel,60" mmm.Your tractor was the leader of the B-Series for several years, still a bullet proof unit.

You already have grass that needs to be cut plus dandy loins /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif heck we sit have mud and snow..going to be near 80's today and tomorrow /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif and that should start the black fly season. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Mark- This was the first swap because the tires were brand new. It took me about 30 minutes because the front rim pilot hole was a little too small. I had to file it out a little (probably .010" is all, mostly paint). My rear ags were ballasted too, so that took a little finesse. I think I'll leave the turfs on all summer unless I have a side job. Same with the FEL. My trees will thank me. I've scraped so many trunks that I vowed to never mow again with the FEL.

Mreeter- Did you ever swap out the MMM or did you leave it attached? I'd like to at least try a MMM sometime, but I do some FEL work and would hate to remove it all the time.

Thomas- If I waited another week, the grass would have been a bear to mow. Here in Missouri, most every lawn was mowed this weekend. Sunday was in the mid 80's. Heck, I even had shorts on and no shirt. I got a little red on the shoulders and back.

Getting them off will be the easy part! I swapped my rear filled ags a while ago to widen the stance... I had FUN trying to get them lined up! There are probably are some tricks, but, I didn't know 'em! Also, watch out when you're rolling them things around! If they get tilted even a bit, they can go down quick! I have a L2850DT, so, my tires are probably bigger than yours, but, still!!!!!!!!

John,The only downfall I ever had toward the older B-Series was that there little or no clearance under the MMM even when fully raised.Soo,if you did much loader work, the deck would have to come off. After years of practice I could remove the deck pretty quickly, but still a pain.I would keep your RFM,although the Bi-Speed Turn was very handy when mowing with the MMM.Both type mowers have their place, but the RFM is a big plus when it's time to unhook.
