Stump Removal

Dug out large tallow tree stump today. My old Towable backhoe surprised me, chaining it off to my 254 international with 6 foot straight blade increased it’s holding power. The 1538 Mahindra was just barely able to pickup and carry the stump and only after rolling it around a few times to get most of the dirt off. The thumb grapple on the bucket is as handy as a shirt pocket for carrying things. The backhoe is over 25 years old and on its 3 engine and second hydraulic pump. It only too about two hours to dig stump out of very Sandy soil and tallow wood is soft.

That is a Big stump for a towable backhoe.
It punched above its weight to dig that one out
