Stump removal with BX23

There have been a few threads lately with questions on the BX23 backhoe. I thought I would share some photos of one of the stumps I removed yesterday. This one was about 11-12 inches in diameter at three feet up from the base. The backhoe did well cuttting through the roots. The tree was a western cedar with roots that span out but not real deep. I pulled about ten of these yesterday and this one took roughly 30 minutes. Hope this helps those who are interested. Enjoy. Stump removal

Have you ever noticed how in some cases the Kubota BX23 looks a bit like a scorpion, especially when that backhoe is high and pointing down?

Yup. And a nasty one at that. My wife was cleanin' mine last year with the BH and FEL raised. Looked like the darn thing was ready to pounce. (The BX22 -- not my wife) /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
