Stihl vs Husqvarna

I'm not following your argument. You correlated new saws to new tractors with a purchasing reluctance. Then you bagged on new tractors with emissions and computers.
It's okay if you can't follow along. :sneaky: I didn't bag on anything. I shared my thoughts based on information I have gained. And I remarked how I find it interesting when guys bash a computer controlled saw, that may cost a few hundred bucks, but then spend thousands on a computer controlled tractor.
Then you came back and praised new saws for them being reliable for you, despite you saying computers decrease life span. 🤪
Show me where I said computers decrease life span.

I think the context of the conversation was, despiste new saw being initially good, will they still be usable in 50 years? Will there even be parts around for these saws then?
I have this exact same thought about emission tractors, but I would rather have this issue with a $1200 saw than a $60K tractor...
I have bought up so many pre emission saws that are just simple to use. Combine that with can gas, that is not really gas but naptha, they should last another 50 years with very minimal upkeep. Maybe a new carb kit every 25 years.

I like my old saws but I like my new computer controlled saws even better. They're cheap enough that I honestly don't care if they last 30 years. I will probably buy newly released models every 3-4 year anyways.

365 and 372XP are still non-computerized as well, unless something changed real recently
No longer made for US market and last we had were the NE x-torq ones. Only old stock left.

I liked the OE 372 better and order mine in from a overseas dealer in my group. ;) Also can still get new 288's (y)

Ok. Dealer up the road has a 372XP for sale. Must be leftover.
My pre-Xtorq 372XP is in great condition, and still cranks chips like new. Combined with so much aftermarket support, I see it lasting me a lifetime

Just own it. We all saw what you said.
Also, what you said I don't disagree with. Anything with a computer is questionable whether it will be around in 40-50 years.
